I extensively monitor students progression and diversify lessons to ensure that each child succeeds. In Our Room...
I am very standard-oriented. When my students master a standard, they have a chance to glue the corresponding ticket onto their work. This gives parents a chance to stay involved in their child's work.
This year I made crate seats for each of my students. They provide a place for my students to store their books as well as a designated space for them to sit while we have class discussions and morning meetings. (They LOVE them!)
Our Focus Wall explains the standards we will be covering for the week. It also displays the schedule for the day. (By posting the schedule with times, I am reinforcing the importance of telling time!)
